Business Overview

Metal One Nexus is a next-generation steel distribution company formed by merging Metal One Specialty Steel and Metal One Steel Products, both of which played central roles in the Metal One Group. From our predecessors, we bring together the specialty steel division—with its trading, processing and logistics capabilities—and the wire products division, which handles a broad range of wire rod products and fasteners.

Specialty Steel Business

Drawing on expertise cultivated through nearly a century of specialty steel distribution, we respond comprehensively to customer requirements and needs. By leveraging the many functions and services of Metal One’s parent companies—Mitsubishi Corporation and Sojitz Corporation—including their global networks, information capabilities and business proposal capabilities, we also provide invaluable support for our customers’ businesses.

Wire Rod Business

We handle a broad range of wire rod products and fasteners for diverse types of businesses, including everything from cars, motorcycles and household appliances to civil engineering and construction. Demonstrating our capabilities and services in all kinds of sales channels and regions—both in Japan and overseas—from upstream raw materials for wire products to downstream secondary and tertiary products, we help build “wire value chains” in collaboration with Metal One as well as wire drawer companies within the Group.

Trading

In addition to our domestic and overseas trading operations integrated with our parent company, Metal One, we provide a higher level of service through our overseas network, human resources, information capabilities and financial strength.

Processing

At our two main processing centers in Tohoku and Hokuriku, we cut and process specialty steel round bars, pipes and other materials to suit our customers’ required sizes and shapes.

Logistics/Inventory

Our sales offices and processing centers throughout Japan maintain inventories of a broad variety of specialty steel products at all times, enabling us to provide “just-in-time” delivery tailored to customer needs.
